Yknow sometimes I think being a teenager is this hard simply because for the first time we’re intellectually capable enough to understand some of the wacky transitions our lives go through. So even though these are processes and phases that have been there right from the start, only now do they actually make a noticeable difference and make us go, ‘HOLY SHIT! Why is this happening to me?!?’
One such transition is a transition between friends. It’s difficult to find friends who will stick around for life, when we’re kids we probably don’t even notice when one or two friends go missing, even if we do it doesn’t make such huge difference to our lives. Friends replace friends. Life goes on.
That happens a lot when we’re teenagers too because people change therefore the relationships they make do too. It really sucks when that happens. You can neither move back and pretend like nothing’s different nor can you move forward because the bonds are way too strong.
I just hope it kills me before all the comfort food I’ve been hogging starts showing up.

How would you define moving forward?
'Friends replace friends'
Its not as involuntary as you make it sound, you know.
Moving forward = giving up and finding new friends.
True, it could very well be voluntary.
